Tyn-Y-Ffridd Holiday Cottages - Terms and Conditions
Please read carefully
The hiring contract is between the Hirer and the Owner of the property and incorporates the conditions set out below:
Authority to Sign
The person signing the booking form or otherwise arranging the holiday certifies that he/she is authorised to agree the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons included. The signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 18 years of age or over. Bookings cannot be accepted from parties of young people under 18 years of age.
Payment
Weekly Bookings - Bookings are to be accompanied by a Non-Refundable deposit of 10% of the rent. The balance of the rent must be paid 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
The full rent is payable if the occupation date is less than 6 weeks from the date of booking.
Non payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Hirer.
Weekly bookings run for 7 (or multiples thereof) nights from Fridays
Week-End / Mid Week Bookings - The full rent is due with the booking. This is non-refundable in case of non-arrival.
Weekend bookings run from 15:00 Friday for 3 nights.
Mid-Week bookings run from 15:00 Monday for 4 nights
The cottages must be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure (Friday or Monday (in the case of weekend bookings))
All times are local time.
In the event of cancellation a charge equivalent to the Non-Refundable deposit of 10% of the total rent plus £30.00 admin fee will be applied to any booking. See cancellations below.
Currency
All prices and all payments must be GB Pounds Sterling ONLY
Hirer's Obligation
The Hirer agrees:
To pay for any breakages, losses or damage to the property before departure. To take all reasonable and proper care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the tenancy. Particular attention must be given to the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment, appliances and utensils are left clean and tidy. The Hirer is responsible for any additional cleaning costs incurred.
To permit the owners and Agent reasonable access to the property to carry out any urgent maintenance.Not to sublet or share the property except with persons nominated when booking. The maximum number of persons allowed at the property is clearly stated and must not be exceeded. (Owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition).
Dogs
WELCOME FREE
Usually a maximum of 2 dogs is welcomed FREE, if you have more, then please state at time of booking.
As no charge is made for pets it is on the express condition that pet owners are responsible for any extra cleaning that may be required, either in the property or in the grounds.
Dog owners have a responsibility to the countryside, and are legally required to ensure that dogs are under control when around sheep and other livestock.
Pets MUST NOT under any circumstances be allowed on any soft furnishings or beds.Pets MUST have their own blankets to protect the floor coverings.
Pets MUST not cause any annoyance, become a nuisance or intimidate occupants of adjoining properties.
Pets MUST NOT, at any time, be left alone in the property.Owners must never allow pets to defecate in the grounds or anywhere children may play. Failure to clean after pets may be heavily surcharged.
All dog mess in all public places must be cleaned up and disposed of properly.
Owners must be aware that not all places, such as family beaches, allow dogs entry and must respect this requirement.
Only if available and if convenient, the Owners might be able to provide a dog sitting service.
You must provide for all your dog’s needs, but he/she/they will be walked if possible.
Cancellation
If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking for non-insurable reasons he/she should advise Tyn-y-ffridd Holiday Cottages immediately by telephone, followed by a confirmatory letter to the address below.
Upon receipt of such letter the Owners will (but without any obligation to the Hirer) use their best endeavours to obtain a replacement letting and, if such replacement is obtained, will then refund to the Hirer any monies paid less a handling charge (excluding deposits equivalent to to 10% of the hire charge plus an administration fee).
If the cottage is unable to be relet the Owner shall be entitled to retain all payments already made and to recover, if not already paid, the balance of the hiring charge.
Non-availability of Property - REFUNDS
If, for any reason beyond the Owner's control, the property is not available on the date booked, all rent paid in advance will be refunded in full.
The Hirer shall have no further claims against the Owner or Agent.
Caring for your Safety
Every reasonable effort has been made to indicate possible safety hazards in the property description. However, it is guests's responsibility (particularly parents with young children or other vulnerable people) to inspect the property and grounds immediately on arrival and note any possible hazards.
Check the layout of your holiday property so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily.
Please read and respect any warning/hazard/restriction notices that the owners have placed in the property.Young and vulnerable people should be protected from all appliances, chemicals, and combustible materials at all times.
Never touch hot appliances and always use the tools provided.
There will be no running, jumping, banging, racing, skipping etc either indoors or outdoors at any time.
If you have a pre-exisitng condition we can help aleviate, please tell us in advance. We cannot do anything to help after arrival without prior knowledge.
Smoking is expressly prohibited within the cottage.
Fire assembly point is in the car park opposite.
Cottages and the Countryside
Please remember that many of our older properties have low windows, were built before the days of minimum ceiling/door heights, easy stair gradients, cavity insulation and damp proof courses, also countryside activity (farming etc) and animals can be noisy, unpredictable and smelly at times!
Arrival and Departure Times
Properties are only available after 15.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
All times are local times.
Bed linen
We provide bed linen and the beds are fully made up and ready for your arrival.
However, personal towels and cot linen are not normally provided.
Cot/Baby/Other special requirements
These are to be provided by the Hirer.
The Owners have no wish to provide unsuitable fixtures and furnishings for those in your care who cannot look after themselves.
Parking
There should be room for one car per cottage in the parking area. If you intend to bring more than one car you are obliged to inform us before arrival.
Christmas & New Year Festivities
The cottages are available all year round.
At Christmas we provide a complimentary Christmas tree and decorations.
Guest Book
There is a guest book provided, please feel free to add your comments about your holiday and accommodation as you see fit.
Complaints
Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday.
If however, you have any cause for complaint we are anxious that remedial action is taken as soon as possible.
It is essential that you contact the Owner or their representatives immediately if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved.
Discussion with the Owner or their representative whilst you are in residence usually enables shortcomings to be rectified straight away.
If, having tried, you cannot make contact with the Owner or their representative and if the complaint is more complicated please write to the address below. This must be received within 7 days of you returning from your holiday.
Please help us to help you by following this procedure which is designed to effect the speediest possible investigation and rectification of complaints.
We cannot subsequently consider any complaints or enter into any correspondence about them unless this procedure has been followed.
Reception Service
We , or our representatives, will there to welcome you on your arrival, to provide you with a key and to ensure you are completely satisfied and nothing has been overlooked.
Commitment to Quality
As an established family run business working to provide you with quality accommodation, and to assist you with your holiday plans once you have arrived.
Cancellation/Travel Insurance Cover
Insurers will reimburse your irrecoverable travel or accommodation charges if you or a member of your party is unable to take your holiday as arranged due to any cause beyond your control, occurring after payment of the premium.
We suggest that you contact your usual Insurance Agent and take out an appropriate policy.
Smoking - NO
Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the descriptions/photographs are accurate and all statements by the Owners are made in the honest belief that they are accurate at the time of going to press. However, all distances are approximate and facilities may be altered or withdrawn for reasons outside the our control for which we cannot accept responsibility.
We will notify you of any major amendments or other details changed after the time of your booking at the earliest possible opportunity thereafter.
All information in this brochure is given in good faith but the Owners makes no warranties as to such information (or any part of it) as ongoing improvements may mean that the particulars become incorrect or incomplete.
Tyn-y-ffridd Holiday Cottages and their agents shall not be under any liability to the Hirers or third parties for any loss or damage arising from breach of contract, negligence, mis-representation or otherwise.
Tyn-y-ffridd Holiday Cottages is within its rights to implement Force Majore and therefore is not liable for circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control, including natural disasters, riots, strikes, acts of terrorism, sanitary disruption, civil unrest, war, restrictions by local authorities.
